It seems to me that in the majority of these posts the Santas aren't sketchy. This blog should be re-named "Some sketchy Santas, but Mostly Terrified Kids with Regular Santas."
This Santa looks totally real and sweet, I would sit on his lap :o) I think the kids are just scared. And it's not nice to make comments about kids. Some of the chubbiest kids grow up to be the hottest adults, remember that.
If any of you that said "look where his finger is" knew your own anatomy you would know that "his finger" is touching her shoulder!!! Quit trying to make something out of nothing!!!
It looks like the fingers on his left and right hand are of different lengths. Most likely the stubby sausage fingers on his right hand were with him from birth but the other, larger hand has to be one of those new transplant deals as seen on 20/20. Hope his body doesn't reject it... that sweet old man.

I know this Santa - he's the one that my daughter had her first pic with - he was the nicest man! He's a the Mall at Millenia in Orlando -so not a sketchy guy - kids are often terrified of Santa!

My daughters love Santa, but are terrified up close, we've tried all sorts of methods, including having them sit in the chair and Santa walking up behind them to avoid a scared response, but some parents are so determined that they demand a picture be taken with the child, at the child and Santa's expense.
